Buying a Waves Coffee franchise in Canada
Waves Coffee House is a Vancouver-founded coffee franchisor that invites franchise partners on its own partnership page. It publishes no fee, investment figure, royalty or training length there (as published by Waves, read Oct 22, 2026). Deavo listed 19 Waves Coffee listings on Oct 20, 2026, mostly in British Columbia and Alberta; nearly all are new-location advertisements, not resales.
Waves Coffee is a trademark of its owner. Deavo is not affiliated with or endorsed by Waves Coffee or Waves Coffee House; the name identifies the businesses listed for sale. Figures are quoted from the franchisor’s own pages and are not verified by Deavo.

New-location advertisements, not resales
Nearly all the Waves Coffee listings below are titled as a new Waves Coffee “Franchise Opportunity” in a named town. Those advertise a new Waves location, not a store that a current franchisee is selling, so the price on such a card is not the asking price of a trading business. Deavo does not total those prices into an asking-price figure for Waves, and you should not read them as one. Every Waves card carries a new-location badge, so read each title: a listing titled as an established Waves franchise for sale may be an existing store, and its seller should be asked for its records.
What Waves publishes
Waves’ partnership page describes the company as founded in 2005 at Hastings and Richards Street in downtown Vancouver, with “over 27 stores in both British Columbia and Alberta” (as published, read Oct 22, 2026). It lists benefits that include “Proprietary Training Programs”, “Head Office Marketing Support” and “Management and Accounting System Support”. It gives no initial fee, total investment, liquid capital, net worth, royalty, advertising contribution or term. Those rows in the table above read “Not published” because they were not on the page we read, not because the page says there is no such cost.
Training and opening
The page names proprietary training programs but gives no length, location or format. Ask Waves how long training runs, who pays for it and whether it happens before or after the lease is signed, and ask for the answer in writing. Then compare what you are told with the franchise disclosure document; where a provincial Act applies, that document must contain copies of all proposed franchise agreements.
Financing
Waves names no lender and no financing programme on the page read. For how Canadian franchise purchases are financed, see can a franchise purchase be financed? For the financial standards franchisors may set for buyers, see what financial requirements do franchisors set for buyers.
Where Waves is expanding
Deavo’s Waves listings on Oct 20, 2026 were in British Columbia (10), Alberta (8) and Manitoba (1). Waves’ own list of towns where it is expanding is on the locations page for this brand.
Disclosure law where Waves is listed
All three provinces with Waves Coffee listings have franchise disclosure statutes. Where a statute applies, the prospective franchisee must receive the franchisor’s disclosure document at least 14 days before signing any agreement relating to the franchise or paying any consideration relating to it, whichever is earlier, subject to the exemptions and the refundable-deposit rule in each Act. If the document is late or never provided, the franchisee may rescind within periods the Act sets: in British Columbia and Manitoba, 60 days after receiving it, or two years after entering into the agreement if it was never provided; in Alberta, 60 days after receiving it or two years after the franchise is granted, whichever is first. Because the partnership page publishes no fees, ask where each fee is set out in that document, and keep the date you receive it.
