Waves Coffee franchise locations and available areas

What Waves says about where it is growing

Under the heading “Expanding”, Waves’ partnership page names Abbotsford, Langley, Squamish, Whistler, Chilliwack, Kelowna and Edmonton, and adds “We’ve many more prospective locations in the works” (as published, read Oct 22, 2026). It invites readers who think they know a good site to get in touch. The page does not say how many sites are open in each town, who has already been offered one, or what an applicant must show to be considered. Treat the list as the franchisor’s statement of intent on the day we read it, not as a promise that a particular site is available.

Waves’ listings on Deavo, by province

Deavo’s Waves listings on Oct 20, 2026 were in British Columbia (10), Alberta (8) and Manitoba (1). The Waves page we read names British Columbia and Alberta in describing its existing stores, and its expansion list names British Columbia towns and Edmonton. A province or town on one list and not the other is not a contradiction: the listings come from advertisements on other websites, and the expansion list comes from Waves, and neither is a complete inventory of Waves locations.

What each listing is

Nearly every Waves listing on Deavo is titled as a new Waves franchise opportunity in a named town. Such a listing is not a store that a franchisee is selling, so there is no trading history, lease or equipment to inspect yet, and the figure on the card is not a seller’s asking price for a trading business. Deavo does not total those figures into an asking-price number for Waves. A listing titled as an established Waves franchise for sale may be an existing store; ask its seller for the store’s records.

Questions to put to Waves before you rely on a site

Ask which specific site or territory is being offered, whether the lease is held by the franchisor or by you, what the investment figure includes and excludes, and where the royalty and advertising contributions are set out, since the partnership page publishes neither. Ask for the franchise disclosure document early, and note the date you receive it.

Disclosure law in these provinces

All three provinces with Waves Coffee listings have franchise disclosure statutes. In British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba, where the statute applies, the prospective franchisee must receive the franchisor’s disclosure document at least 14 days before signing any agreement relating to the franchise or paying any consideration relating to it, whichever is earlier, subject to the exemptions and the refundable-deposit rule in each Act. Whether it applies to a particular offer depends on the facts and is a question for a franchise lawyer.
