Drama Kids’ own wording: “$30,000 plus working capital +GST”. Total investment, capital, royalty and advertising are not on the page read; ask for them and check the franchise disclosure document.

New-location advertisements, not resales

Every Drama Kids listing on Deavo is an advertisement for a new franchise territory placed on behalf of the franchisor. Nobody is selling a running business: a buyer would be signing a new franchise agreement with Drama Kids. Any price on a card is an investment figure supplied by the advertiser, not what a current owner is asking for an established academy, and Deavo shows no asking-price summary for the brand for that reason. Drama Kids’ own page makes no statement about selling existing units, so there is no page here on buying an existing one.

What the franchisor describes

Drama Kids calls its offer a “home-based business” with an “exclusive territory”, run as “a Drama Kids Mobile Business” rather than from a brick-and-mortar studio (as published, read Oct 22, 2026). Franchisees are described as receiving “all curriculum, teaching & training” and “Mentor Support for 1st Year of Operation”. The page does not publish a total investment, a royalty, an advertising contribution or a term. Its enquiry form offers a copy of its “franchisee prospectus”; ask whether it sets them out.

Training and opening

Drama Kids says new franchisees “start on your online learning journey” and that “a trainer will be with you to support and prepare you for your initial opening” (as published, read Oct 22, 2026). No length of training is given, so ask how long it runs, where, and what it costs.

Financing

Drama Kids says: “We will support you in your search for secure loan funding, should you need it.” It names no lender and no programme. For how Canadian franchise purchases are financed in general, see can a franchise purchase be financed?

Where Drama Kids is expanding

Drama Kids says it “offers Franchise Opportunities in all Canadian Provinces”. Deavo’s Drama Kids listings on Oct 20, 2026 were in Ontario (10), Alberta (2), British Columbia (1) and Manitoba (1). See Drama Kids locations for the published wording.

Disclosure law where Drama Kids is listed

All four provinces with Drama Kids listings have franchise disclosure statutes. Where a statute’s disclosure rule applies, you must receive the franchisor’s disclosure document at least 14 days before the earlier of signing any agreement relating to the franchise and paying any consideration relating to the franchise (each Act defines both steps and sets out exceptions, including certain deposits), and late or missing disclosure can give a franchisee a statutory right to rescind within time limits the Act sets. Because Drama Kids publishes only its fee on the page read, ask what the disclosure document says about the rest; keep the date you receive it.
