Eggsmart franchise training and support
Eggsmart’s training page says each new franchisee “is required to attend a training course four weeks”, at about 50 hours per week (as published by Eggsmart, read Oct 22, 2026). Its opportunities page instead lists a “3-Week Training Program”, so confirm the length in writing. Eggsmart also publishes a $5,000.00 training fee.

The training programme
Eggsmart’s training page says training starts at its Support Centre in Toronto, Ontario, as well as an Eggsmart designated restaurant. It describes a course combining hands-on instruction and on-the-job training for approximately 50 hours per week, covering basic principles of management, food preparation, customer service and other details. The FAQ describes the same programme as four weeks in duration, held at one of its designated training stores, and adds that no food-retail experience is required.
When the pages disagree
The opportunities page lists a “Business/Restaurant 3-Week Training Program” among the things its franchise system includes. The training page and the FAQ say four weeks. This page does not decide between them. Ask Eggsmart which figure the franchise agreement uses, and what the $5,000.00 training fee in its development budget covers.
Support around opening
After training, Eggsmart says a business development manager works with the franchisee to plan the opening, train key employees and assist in the first days after opening. Its marketing department works with the franchisee to implement a grand opening campaign. Eggsmart also says it offers continued support through coaching and consulting, an operations manual, and its manager’s advice on recruiting, budgeting, financial performance, cost controls and cash flow.
If you are buying an existing restaurant
Everything above is written for a new franchisee opening a restaurant. Eggsmart’s pages do not say whether a resale buyer repeats the programme, is excused from part of it, or pays the training fee. That is for the franchise agreement and the franchisor to answer, so ask before you commit. See does buying a franchise resale require retraining? for how to put the question, and who has to approve a franchise resale for the approval that comes with it.
What training does not tell you
Eggsmart’s FAQ says it cannot guarantee that any restaurant will achieve a certain level of sales, profit or cash flow, and that skills, location and overhead affect profitability. Training is a published input; results are not. Eggsmart’s steps-to-ownership page says an applicant is given its Franchise Disclosure Document after preliminary approval, and that the document contains background information on the franchisor and copies of the franchise application and other franchise documentation.
