What Milestones is
Foodtastic describes Milestones as “a leader in the casual fine-dining space in Canada for over 30 years” and as a place to celebrate important occasions, enjoy Sunday morning brunch and have a drink with friends during happy hour (as published, read Oct 22, 2026). The Milestones page sits among Foodtastic’s other brands, and the franchisor’s “Become a franchisee” page says its franchise department offers help choosing a location, managing the lease, designing the concept and training.
Buying an existing Milestones
Foodtastic’s Milestones page does not mention existing restaurants for sale. If you are buying from a current franchisee, ask whether the franchise agreement makes a transfer conditional on the franchisor’s consent, and read that clause before you rely on a listing. See who has to approve a franchise resale and what a transfer fee is. A listing’s asking price is what the advertiser wrote; it is not Foodtastic’s figure and not a valuation.
What the franchisor looks for in a location
Foodtastic lists conditions for a new Milestones: locations across Canada, a trade area with a minimum population of 75,000, and 5,500 to 6,500 square feet with a patio. It names shopping or entertainment centres, free-standing buildings in power centres and street locations, in urban, suburban and downtown-corridor settings, as new builds or retro-fits. The page does not publish a list of open territories, so ask which are available.
Financing
Foodtastic’s Milestones page names no lender and publishes no financing programme. For the financing routes to ask about, see can a franchise purchase be financed?
Disclosure law where Milestones is listed
All two provinces with Milestones listings have franchise disclosure statutes. Deavo’s Milestones listings on Oct 20, 2026 were in Ontario (6) and New Brunswick (2). In Ontario and New Brunswick, subject to the exemptions in section 5 of each Act, the franchisor must provide a disclosure document that the prospective franchisee receives not less than 14 days before the earlier of signing the franchise agreement or any other agreement relating to the franchise and paying any consideration relating to the franchise to the franchisor or its associate. Under section 6 of each Act a franchisee may rescind, without penalty or obligation, no later than 60 days after receiving the disclosure document if it or a statement of material change was not provided within the time section 5 requires or its contents did not meet section 5, or no later than two years after entering into the agreement if it was never provided. Foodtastic’s page does not publish a net worth requirement, a term or training length; the disclosure document is where to look for them. Keep the date you receive it.
