A row marked “Not published” means the figure was not on the page we read — not that there is no such fee.

What the figures cover

Foodtastic gives the projected cost as a range and does not say on the page what it includes or whether working capital is part of it. It also does not say whether the cash requirement is separate from, or part of, the projected cost. Ask for a written breakdown of both, and for what a retro-fit costs against a new build, since the page allows either. A resale’s asking price is set by the seller, not by Foodtastic; ask the seller what it includes.

Royalty and advertising

The page states three percentage fees: a royalty of 5% of gross sales, 2% of gross sales to the National Advertising Fund and 1% of gross sales on local advertising. Because they are charged on gross sales, not profit, they are paid whether or not the restaurant makes money. In Ontario and New Brunswick, where section 5 of the franchise statute applies, the franchisor must provide a disclosure document not less than 14 days before the earlier of signing any agreement relating to the franchise and paying any consideration relating to it to the franchisor or its associate; the document must contain all material facts and copies of the proposed franchise agreements. Ask for it, and check every recurring fee in it, before relying on any figure here. See what disclosure a resale buyer gets.

Not published

The page does not publish a net worth requirement, a term, a renewal or transfer fee, or a training length. A “Not published” row means the figure was not on the page we read, not that there is no such cost. Ask for transfer and renewal terms in writing; a transfer fee is explained in what is a franchise transfer fee.

Financing a Milestones purchase

Foodtastic names no lender and publishes no programme on the page we read. For the financing routes to ask about, see can a franchise purchase be financed?

Each figure is the franchisor’s own published initial fee for Canada, read Oct 22, 2026. Fees are one part of the cost; total investment and capital requirements differ far more between brands.

About the Canadian Franchise Association listing

CFA’s directory has a Milestones Grill + Bar listing. CFA’s figures can differ from the franchisor’s own page — on Milestones the directory’s investment range is not the one on Foodtastic’s page — so this page quotes the franchisor and uses CFA only to confirm the directory listing.

No asking-price figure is published for this brandDeavo lists 8 Milestones listings, 6 with an asking price, but fewer than 15 distinct resales remain once franchisor new-store openings and the same store advertised on several sites are set aside. Deavo publishes a figure only where at least 15 listings stand behind it. The listings themselves are on the Milestones brand page.
