Figures quoted as Pizza Pizza writes them. A row marked “Not published” means the figure was not on the pages we read — not that there is no such fee.

What the figures include

Pizza Pizza says the purchase “covers your rights to use the Pizza Pizza brand, your location and setup, your training, and more”, and that the total investment depends on the opportunity. It does not say whether the investment range includes working capital, so ask. The same page asks for a minimum of 30% of the total investment as unencumbered cash, at least $150,000.00 or more, a minimum net worth of $250,000 and a credit score of 730 or more with no past bankruptcies. For a resale, ask the seller how the asking price compares with this range and what it includes.

Royalty and advertising

Neither rate is on the pages we read. Pizza Pizza’s answers page says only that it “invests significantly each year on promotional and advertising programs” and gives no percentage. In Ontario and British Columbia, where disclosure applies and subject to each Act’s exceptions, the prospective franchisee must receive the disclosure document at least 14 days before the earlier of signing the franchise agreement or any other agreement relating to the franchise and paying any consideration relating to the franchise to the franchisor or its associate. Ask for the disclosure document for the royalty and advertising rates before relying on any figure here. See what disclosure a resale buyer gets.

Financing a Pizza Pizza purchase

Pizza Pizza says the buyer needs the cash or financing from a financial institution and publishes no lender programme on the pages read. For the financing routes to ask about, see can a franchise purchase be financed?

What Pizza Pizza listings on Deavo ask

No asking-price figure is published for this brandDeavo lists 12 Pizza Pizza listings, 10 with an asking price, but fewer than 15 distinct resales remain once franchisor new-store openings and the same store advertised on several sites are set aside. Deavo publishes a figure only where at least 15 listings stand behind it. The listings themselves are on the Pizza Pizza brand page.

Published initial fees of other brands on Deavo

Each figure is the franchisor’s own published initial fee for Canada, read Oct 22, 2026 or on the date shown against it. Fees are one part of the cost; total investment and capital requirements differ far more between brands.

About the Canadian Franchise Association listing

CFA’s directory lists Pizza Pizza as a member since 2002. CFA’s entry gives its own investment, unit-count and training figures, which differ from Pizza Pizza’s own pages, so this page quotes the franchisor and uses CFA for membership only.
