Pizza Pizza franchise training and support
Pizza Pizza publishes an “8-10 week training program” that covers “food prep, business management, HR and more”, with ongoing professional development and Regional Operations Managers after opening (as published, read Oct 22, 2026). Whether a resale buyer completes all of it is a question for the franchisor.

The published programme
Pizza Pizza’s franchising basics page says every applicant will benefit from “comprehensive 8-10 week training program”, where “you’ll learn food prep, business management, HR and more”, plus “ongoing professional development seminars and courses” (as published, read Oct 22, 2026). Its answers page adds that the training centre teaches how to cook and prepare food “in real kitchens and stores”, and that restaurant and financial management classes cover “everything from hiring to managing staff to customer service”. It says this happens before the store opens.
Support after opening
On support after opening, Pizza Pizza says Regional Operations Managers “will give you everyday support to maximize your sales and profitability” and help maintain its standards of quality, service and value. It also says it arranges the supply chain from its warehouse, helps with store design and construction, and runs promotional and advertising programs. These are the franchisor’s descriptions of its own offer; none of them is verified here, so ask for the disclosure document and the franchise agreement to see what the franchisor commits to provide.
What a resale buyer should ask
Pizza Pizza describes the programme for “every one of our applicants” and, on its answers page, as taking place before you open your store. It does not say on the pages we read whether a person buying a trading location takes the same course, a shortened one or none. Ask the franchisor in writing, and ask the seller whether the franchise agreement makes training a condition of consent — does buying a resale require retraining? Also ask what the training costs, who pays your wages while you attend, and when it would start relative to the closing date.
Before you commit
Training is only one part of what you are buying into. Compare it with the published fee and investment on the costs and fees page, then see who has to approve a franchise resale for the approvals a transfer involves. Where a listing is at a multi-brand site, ask whether the other brands have their own training or approval requirements.
