Panago franchise costs and fees
Panago’s franchise site lists a $25,000 initial franchise fee, about $625,000 average total start-up cost (not including working capital) and $200,000 in unencumbered capital required. Royalty and advertising rates are not published on that page. Figures as published by Panago, read Oct 20, 2026; the franchise disclosure document governs.

* Panago’s own asterisk: “Average” and “Not including working capital.” A row marked “Not published” means the figure was not on the page we read — not that there is no such fee.
What the figures include
Panago marks all three figures with an asterisk: they are averages and exclude working capital. The total start-up cost is the franchisor’s estimate of building and equipping a new store. A resale is priced by the selling franchisee and can sit above or below it, because it includes an existing lease, equipment and trading history that a new build does not. Working capital — the cash to run the store before it pays for itself — comes on top of every figure in the table.
Royalty and advertising
Neither rate is on the page we read. In Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Saskatchewan the franchise disclosure document — which, where disclosure applies, the franchisor delivers at least 14 days before you sign or pay — sets out every recurring fee. Ask for it before relying on any figure here. See what disclosure a resale buyer gets.
Financing a Panago purchase
Panago says its development team arranges financing through lending institutions it does not name, and no lender programme is published. Canadian franchise purchases are generally financed through the Canada Small Business Financing Program, BDC, a conventional lender or a vendor take-back — can a franchise purchase be financed?

* Average, per the franchisor. Subway’s fee is quoted from its Canadian FAQ; Pizza Pizza’s from its franchising basics page; Boston Pizza’s is for its traditional format and is “plus applicable taxes”. Country Style’s cost answers were placeholder text when read and are not quoted.
About the Canadian Franchise Association listing
CFA’s directory lists Panago as a member since 2004. CFA’s figures are self-reported by franchisors and in several cases differ from the franchisor’s own page, so this page quotes the franchisor and uses CFA for membership only. The membership year is the one fact this page takes from the directory.
